The German trading and consulting company KAGER has expanded its range of high-temperature sealing solutions for industrial plant and equipment engineering. The new woven gaskets made of technical fabrics are suitable for continuous operating temperatures up to 700 °C (1292 °F).
Benefits of woven gaskets
Woven gaskets (solid gaskets) provide:
- excellent resilience and flexibility
- high wear resistance
- outstanding chemical resistance
- vibration damping properties
- long-term sealing performance without embrittlement
This ensures energy savings, reduced maintenance costs and maximum plant safety.
Product range
- Carbo Graphite (up to 700 °C / 1292 °F): made from graphite yarn or expanded mineral graphite, reinforced with Inconel wire or molybdenum disulfide.
- Aramid gaskets (up to 500 °C / 932 °F): resistant to acids, chemicals and abrasion – ideal for high-pressure valves, turbines and heat exchangers.
- PTFE gaskets (up to 280 °C / 536 °F): used in hot water, steam and oxygen valves, pumps and agitators in chemical plants.
- DYNAPACK®: versatile textile gaskets for power generation, shipbuilding, food industry, pharmaceuticals, cement and paper production.
Most KAGER high-temperature sealing solutions are free of binders, heavy metals and mineral fillers, making them especially reliable and safe.
Applications across industries
The new textile sealing tapes and cords are designed for use in boiler construction, flue gas systems, turbines, painting and ventilation technology, drying and heating processes, chemical and petrochemical plants. Customers benefit from KAGER’s expert consulting to select the ideal high-temperature gasket for their specific application.
