Pyro-Putty 2400 – High-Temperature Metal Repair Compound for Service Temperatures up to 1,090 °C

Extreme heat, corrosion and thermal cycling often cause cracks, pinholes and distorted flanges in industrial equipment. Pyro-Putty 2400 is a water-based inorganic high-temperature repair compound designed to restore cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel components operating at temperatures up to 1,090 °C.
The single-component formulation contains ceramic and stainless-steel fillers, providing excellent thermal shock resistance, outstanding mechanical strength and easy application. It cures at room temperature, which is then heat-cured at approximately 95°C and can be machined and painted after curing.
Gas-tight sealing for pressurized applications
Whenever repaired components are exposed to pressure or hot gases, KAGER recommends sealing the repair with Corr-Paint™ CP4000-S2.
This silicone-ceramic coating cures at room temperature and provides outstanding protection against:
- temperatures up to 538 °C
- UV exposure
- outdoor weathering
- salt spray corrosion
- direct flame exposure
