Preventive Heat Protection for Fingers and Hands – Effectively Prevent Burns in Industrial Workplaces

Heat-Resistant Gloves and Temperature Warning Indicators from KAGER Improve Workplace Safety

In high-temperature industrial environments, burns to hands and fingers remain one of the most common workplace injuries. Foundries, glass manufacturing plants, refractory industries, metal processing facilities and thermal processing operations all require reliable heat protection solutions.

KAGER offers a comprehensive range of heat-resistant safety gloves and temperature warning indicators designed to improve occupational safety and reduce the risk of burns.

Heat-Resistant Safety Gloves for Extreme Temperatures

KAGER’s protective gloves comply with major international standards and provide protection against:

  • Contact heat
  • Radiant heat
  • Abrasion
  • Cut hazards
  • Mechanical stress

Manufactured from advanced materials such as:

  • Kevlar®
  • Preox-Aramid®
  • PBI®
  • High-temperature glass fibers
  • Split leather
  • Silicone coatings
  • Aluminum coatings

Depending on the model, protection levels can reach up to 1,100°C contact heat and 1,000°C radiant heat.

Temperature Warning Labels for Hot Surfaces

A highly effective preventive safety measure is the use of visual temperature warning indicators.

Hot-Hand Indicator

The Hot-Hand indicator remains black below 50°C.

Once the temperature exceeds this limit, the warning message “HOT” and a hand-over-flames symbol appear in bright red.

Large Traffic Light Indicator

The Large Traffic Light indicator uses an intuitive traffic-light system:

🟢 Green: Below 50°C

🟡 Yellow: Between 50°C and 70°C

🔴 Red: Above 70°C

This allows employees to instantly recognize potential burn hazards.

Reversible and Sustainable Temperature Monitoring

Both indicators are reversible and reusable.

When the surface cools down, they automatically return to their original state, providing long-term visual safety monitoring.

KAGER – Your Partner for High-Temperature Workplace Safety

For more than 50 years, KAGER has supported industrial customers, laboratories and research facilities with solutions for:

  • Heat protection
  • Workplace safety
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Process reliability
  • Quality assurance

Combining heat-resistant gloves with intelligent temperature indicators significantly reduces the risk of burns and improves workplace safety.

Pressure Measurement Film for Precise Pressure Distribution Analysis

Visualizing Surface Pressure Quickly, Precisely and Cost-Effectively

Accurate pressure distribution measurement is essential in many industrial applications. Uneven surface pressure can lead to production defects, premature wear, leakage problems or reduced product quality.

Pressure measurement films from Kager Industrieprodukte GmbH provide a fast, precise and economical solution for visualizing pressure distribution across contact surfaces.

These highly sensitive pressure indicating films offer a cost-effective alternative to complex electronic pressure measurement systems and are ideal for industrial quality control, process optimization and laboratory applications.

How Pressure Measurement Films Work

Pressure indicating films visualize applied pressure through a color-changing reaction. The intensity of the color directly corresponds to the amount of pressure applied.

Single-Layer Pressure Film

In the single-layer version, color-filled microcapsules and a developer are integrated into one film layer. Under pressure, the capsules burst and create a visible color reaction.

The color intensity allows the applied surface pressure to be evaluated quickly and easily.

Two-Sheet Pressure Film

In the two-sheet version, the first layer contains microcapsules of different sizes. Under pressure, these capsules rupture and release a reactive liquid that interacts with the color-developing layer of the second sheet.

This creates a pressure-dependent red coloration that enables highly precise pressure analysis, especially in lower pressure ranges.

Evaluating the Pressure Measurement

The color intensity is evaluated using a calibrated color scale and pressure-density diagram.

Step 1: Temperature and Humidity Correction

Environmental conditions such as temperature and relative humidity are first considered to determine the correct pressure response curve.

Step 2: Determining Color Density

The developed coloration is compared with a standard color scale to determine the density value.

Step 3: Calculating the Pressure Value

Using the selected curve and density value, the actual pressure in MPa or N/mm² can be determined.

The resulting force can then be calculated by multiplying the pressure by the colored contact area.

Available Pressure Ranges

Our pressure measurement films cover a wide range of applications:

Film TypeMeasuring Range
Ultra Super Low Pressure0.2 – 0.6 N/mm²
Super Low Pressure0.5 – 2.5 N/mm²
Low Pressure2.5 – 10 N/mm²
Medium Pressure10 – 50 N/mm²
High Pressure50 – 130 N/mm²
Super High Pressure130 – 300 N/mm²

The films provide a high spatial resolution of up to 0.1 mm.
